Stretch Film for Hand and Machine Wrapping
Stretch film holds pallet loads together in storage and transit. LINC carries hand and machine stretch film in a range of widths, gauges and lengths from Paragon Films, Berry Global, Western Plastics, Continental Western, IPG, MS Plastics and more.
Hand Film or Machine Film?
- Hand stretch film: smaller rolls for wrapping by hand. Use it with a stretch film dispenser to save your hands and control tension.
- Machine stretch film: larger rolls made for stretch wrappers. It stretches further, so each roll wraps more loads.
Cast or Blown?
Cast film is clear, quiet as it unwinds and clings well, which makes it the most common choice. Blown film is tougher and resists punctures better on sharp or uneven loads.
Choosing the Gauge
Thicker film (a higher gauge) holds heavier, sharper loads. Lighter loads can use thinner film and save money. Not sure? Tell us your load weight and type and we'll recommend a film.

Stretch Film FAQs
What is the difference between hand and machine stretch film?
Hand film comes on smaller rolls for wrapping by hand. Machine film comes on larger rolls made for stretch wrappers and stretches further.
What gauge stretch film do I need?
It depends on load weight and edges. Heavier or sharper loads need a higher gauge. We can help you pick.
Is cast or blown stretch film better?
Cast film is clearer and clings well for most loads. Blown film is stronger against punctures on sharp or uneven loads.
Can I use machine film by hand?
It's not recommended. Machine rolls are heavy and built for a wrapper's pre-stretch system.
