About Coil Nails
Coil nails are high‑capacity, collated fasteners commonly used as framing nails, pallet nails, and construction nails, designed for use in pneumatic coil nailers to support high‑volume fastening applications. They deliver fast installation, consistent drive performance, and reduced downtime in demanding construction and industrial environments.
Available in a wide range of lengths, diameters, shank types, and finishes, coil nails are well suited for applications such as framing, sheathing, decking, fencing, and pallet assembly. Options including smooth, ring, and screw shank designs provide varying levels of holding power, while finishes such as bright, electro‑galvanized, and hot‑dipped galvanized help match fasteners to interior or exterior job requirements.
Coil nails are typically wire‑collated at a consistent angle, allowing nail guns to hold hundreds of fasteners per load. This coiled configuration enables longer run times between reloads, improved productivity, and reliable performance on large projects. Compatible with a wide range of coil nail guns and pneumatic fastening tools, coil nails deliver the durability, efficiency, and precision professionals rely on for high‑throughput fastening.

Coil Nail FAQs
What is the difference between coil nails and strip nails?
Coil nails are joined by wire in a round coil and load into coil nailers. Strip nails come in straight sticks and load into stick nailers. A coil holds more nails, so you reload less often.
Will these coil nails fit my nailer?
Most coil framing nailers take 15-degree wire coil nails, including Bostitch, Paslode, Senco, MAX and Metabo HPT models. Check your manual for the length and diameter range, or call us and we'll help you match them.
What size coil nails do I need for framing?
Wall framing often uses 3-1/4" nails in .120" or .131" diameter. Sheathing often uses 2-3/8" x .113". Follow your local building code.
Are ring shank coil nails better than smooth shank?
Ring shank nails resist pulling out, so they suit sheathing, subfloors, fencing and pallets. Smooth shank nails drive faster for standard framing.
Which coil nails should I use with treated lumber?
Hot-dipped galvanized or stainless steel. Bright and electro-galvanized nails can corrode against treated wood.
Can I get volume pricing on coil nails?
